If you don’t match the electrical load and the thermal footprint, you’re asking for trouble—either a blown fuse or ink that just won’t cure. Neither is a great way to spend your afternoon. Even a tiny mismatch in voltage can kill a lamp’s lifespan or leave your shirts under-baked. Then there’s the physical fit. If the lamp is too short, it won’t sit right in the sockets. Too long? You’re putting pressure on the quartz tube, and that’s a one-way ticket to a premature burnout. Quartz and connectors We use high-purity quartz glass because it can actually handle the heat density without cracking.
