Introduction
Let’s cut right to the chase. We make carbon fiber heat lamps for one reason only: to give snakes and lizards the heat they need, exactly the way they need it. This isn’t just some run-of-the-mill heater you throw in anywhere. It’s a purpose-built halogen lamp, designed to pump out focused, reliable infrared heat. It’s compact, but it packs a serious punch. The whole point is simple: keep the temperature steady and dependable, day in and day out, in the tough environment of a reptile enclosure.
What Makes It Tick
Here’s the heart of the matter. We built these with a 400V input. It’s the standard for industrial heating, which means you get solid power without needing a bunch of special wiring. Depending on the size of your setup, we have wattages that go all the way up to 2500W. And the tube? It’s about 300mm long. That length is key. It gives the lamp enough surface area to radiate heat like crazy, but it’s still small enough to fit into standard fixtures. Voltage, power, and length—they all work together to give you that intense, focused heat right where you need it.
Built to Last
The secret is the carbon fiber heating element, sealed inside a high-purity quartz tube. This combo can handle the extreme heat needed for serious infrared output without falling apart on you. And the halogen cycle inside keeps the element clean, which means it lasts way longer than a regular incandescent bulb. It’s all hooked up with an R7s connector. It’s a simple, two-point connection that’s easy to wire and tough enough to handle being swapped out again and again. This thing is made to survive the daily grind of being turned on and off, and the searing temperatures inside.
Why It Works for Your Reptile
When you put this in a reptile enclosure, you’re giving your animal exactly what it needs to regulate its own body temperature. The intense heat creates a clear gradient—a warm basking spot and a cooler zone right next to it. Your snake or lizard can just move between the two as it pleases. The carbon fiber element heats up almost instantly, so your thermostat gets an immediate response. It’s a direct replacement for a standard halogen lamp, but with the added durability of that carbon fiber filament. Now, a heads-up. Because the power is so concentrated, your fixture and the enclosure materials have to be able to handle the heat. Proper shielding and a good thermostat aren’t optional—they’re essential for safety. We designed these lamps to be the workhorses you can count on. They’re built for steady performance, easy installation, and a long life, even with constant cycling. The result is a heating solution that just works, giving you predictable performance and less time spent on maintenance.
