The 1500W Carbon Fiber Heating Lamp: The Heat Upgrade Your Shop Floor Needs
We built the 1500W carbon fiber heating lamp to be the heat source you can just drop in and trust. It’s for those tough industrial jobs where space is tight and you need heat, fast. The power is straightforward: 1500W. Enough punch to keep high-throughput lines moving, but not so much that it blows your standard electrical setup.
Power that gets to work, fast
That 1500W rating isn’t just a number—it’s the heat coming straight from the filament. This kind of power density means the lamp hits operating temperature almost instantly. Less waiting. More doing. The physical design keeps the heat focused where you need it, fitting neatly into compact reflector setups. And the envelope is built to handle repeated heating and cooling without blinking. When it comes to voltage, we match it to your setup. If you’re running higher line voltages, the current drops for the same power. That means smaller cables and less stress on your connections—handy when you’ve got multiple heaters on one panel. Just remember: higher voltage means you need to make sure your supply and insulation can keep up.
The materials that make the magic happen
Inside, you’ve got a carbon filament wrapped in a quartz envelope. That combo changes how the lamp behaves compared to standard tungsten-halogen heaters. Carbon has a positive temperature coefficient, so as it heats up, its resistance rises. That helps it self-regulate a bit, smoothing out those startup surges. The quartz stays clear and steady, even at high temps, so the infrared output stays consistent. We use an R7s base because it’s the standard for linear infrared heaters. Two solid contacts. No fragile solder joints to worry about. It slips right into most existing fixtures, so you can swap lamps without rewiring the whole machine.
Where it shines—and what it saves you
This lamp was born for industrial heating tasks that need fast response and tight focus: plastic welding, sealing, coating curing, and localized drying. It heats the target area directly, without dumping heat all over the machine. That means less ambient heat, less strain on cooling, and more stable temperature control. On the floor, the payoff is obvious. Cycle times speed up because the lamp hits temperature quickly. Output stays steady, even with repeated on/off cycles. And when it’s time to replace a lamp, the R7s connection keeps the job simple, so downtime stays short. One thing to keep in mind: at 1500W, this lamp and reflector run hot. Make sure you’ve got proper airflow or shielding to keep nearby components safe.
