These tubes run at high voltage—typically 400V—and pack a punch, hitting up to 2500W inside a 300mm length. That means you get intense heat exactly where you want it, without turning the whole machine bay into a sauna. Because the hot zone is small, your cycles stay fast and your control loops stay simple. And the warm-up? Often under 3 seconds to full output. So you can run short cycles without the waiting game.
What’s inside, and why it works
The carbon fiber filament sits inside a quartz envelope, then we backfill with halogen gas. That combo keeps the filament stable at high temps, fighting off thinning and hot spots that usually kill life early. The color isn’t just for looks—it comes from a controlled coating on the quartz that filters glare and pushes the output toward near-infrared. The R7s double-ended connector keeps everything aligned and rigid, and it handles high current in a tight footprint. Installation is a straight drop-in, but you’ve got to wire it to the rated socket and make sure the fixture can handle the terminal temperature.
Where this shines, and what you gain
You’ll see these tubes used a lot for drying coatings, curing adhesives, and heating small mold surfaces. That high heat density lets you run line speeds faster, but it also means your cooling and shielding need to be planned up front. And the output stays steady—really steady. Under the right voltage and cooling, you can expect strong stability over thousands of hours, with output holding above 95% after 5,000 hours.
